Dark blue cloth with gilt lettering to the front panel and spine. Top two corners have been professionally repaired. The copyright page also serves as the limitation page. Mullins has signed below the limitation and added the date of Jan. 15, 1938. Mullins has also inscribed this copy on the front free endpaper: "For Burr - from Helene." Almost certainly the artist Burr Singer. The provenence of this book is that it came from the inventory of a long-since closed Black Memorabilia store in Pasadena, CA that was passed on to the owner's nephew. There were many original paintings of Burr's that were in the inventory.
