Despite its large and dangerous looking beak the kookaburra is a best loved Australian bird with its "laugh: symbolic of good fellowship of the bush. Kookaburras were introduced into Western Australia from the East coast and this is a story from the West. 43 pages with 7 full page colour illustrations and others in the text, and endpaper map. Book in very good+ condition with small gift inscription to previous owner inside front cover. Dust jacket in very good condition with two tears, bigger one repaired (see photo).
