New edition, completing one hundred and twentieth thousand. The Jubilee Singers were a group of ex-slaves who traveled the world to raise money to maintain Fisk University, Tennessee. Also includes words and music to 127 of their songs, starting with 'Nobody knows the Trouble I See, Lord.' and an account of the lives of several of the Singers as slaves.
