This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of the First Edition. 436 pages (indexed); profusely illustrated. A large, heavy book (4 lbs) in a beautiful Edwardian decorative binding: bright red cloth with fancy blindstamping in gilt. Separate cloth label applied to spine. Clean and fresh text. Mild wear at the margins. Small stain on the rear panel is most significant defect. No dustwrapper. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
