New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1954. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Large 8vo. [8], ix-xxii, [2], 3-437, [1], i-xiii, [5] pp. Quarter navy cloth over red cloth with a decoration blindstamped on the front board, gold lettering on the spine; red topstain. Line drawings by Richard Albany, photographs by Reuben Goldberg. A few private ownership marks including two stamps on the textblock and a bookplate on the front pastedown; jacket is price-clipped and has a few traces of edge wear with minor sunning to its spine panel.
