Synopsis
JANE URQUHART is the author of six internationally acclaimed novels: The Whirlpool , Changing Heaven , Away , The Underpainter , The Stone Carvers , and A Map of Glass . She is also the author of a collection of short fiction, Storm Glass , three books of poetry, and recently a short biography of Lucy Maud Montgomery for the Extraordinary Canadians series. Urquhart has received the Marian Engel Award and the Harbourfront Festival Prize, and is a Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France and an Officer of the Order of Canada.
