Pages heavily toned, otherwise quite clean and unmarked, black cloth binding with gilt title on decorated spine is very clean, no obvious wear, tight & solid, square with sharp corners. Ellen Glasgow (1873-1945) was an American novelist whose works portrayed the changing world of the contemporary South. "They Stooped to Folly" is a social satire on manners in the early 20th century in the South.
