New York: D. Appleton and Company. Fair with no dust jacket. 1866. First Edition. Hardcover. 470 pp, ads. Frontis plate of Jackson, 5 maps (1 folding). Octavo. In orginal blind ruled brown cloth with gilt to spine Cloth is rubbed, corners rubbed and worn, spine is chipped with some lacks and cracks, but the covers and binding are still holding together. Yellow end papers have an old pencil owner name, text and plates/maps have some occasional foxing but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Cooke was formerly of Gen. Stuart's staff. A hagiography of one of the most important Confederate generals. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 470 pages .
