London: Kinnell Publications, 1988. First hardcover edition First printing. Hardcover. Fine. Publisher's leather binding of the first trade hardcover edition, not offered for sale. Bound from the first sheets supplied by the printer, in red half-leather with maroon cloth over boards. One of only two copies bound thus for the publishers of Kinnell. This half-leather bound issue preceded a later version which matched the full-leather issues of the Jack Vance titles published by Kinnell. A lengthy Letter of Provenance provided on the Kinnell letterhead from Richard Lewis, one of the two founders. Raised bands. Lettering and rule on spine in gilt. Top and foredge of the text block in gilt. Headbands. A very fine and bright, as new copy.
