Very Good book in a Very Good minus dustjacket Frederick Machetanz illus Charles Scribner's Sons NY (1942) early hardcover 8vo, 137 pages, full-page b+w illustrations pictorial cloth cover. Story of a group of boys who learn how to play good baseball. Nice juvenile story mixed with baseball instruction. Illustrations by Machetanz include dustjacket front of young catcher with mask. Some soiling to white of dustjacket rear and some light edgewear and rubbing, but nice in Brodart protective cover.
