New York: Random Hose, 1984 First edition. 8vo. On back of the jacket The Boston Globe says "Kevin Phillips is the E.F. Hutton of politics. When he writes, everyone leans in to listen". Black cloth and purple boards stamped in silver on spine. A laid in letter signed by Richard Nixon asking Mr. Douglas G. Fleming, the President of Central Soya Company, to read the book Nixon has sent him. Letter is dated November 19, 1984 and the letterhead reads RICHARD NIXON with an address of 26 Federal Plaza, New York City. Watermarked paper. Also includes a one page promotional letter of Phillips by Random House laid in. Fine/ near fine. Signed Nixon letter has an extremely faint sunning of bottom one and one half inch of page and has a fold mark at center. Letter is near Fine. . 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
