About This Item
From front end paper: this book "...used the literary voice of a storyteller. It represents Mr. Merritt's dialect, faith, love, passions, and writing errors."
From Introduction: "I started this book for my grandchildren, but it soon turned into a weekly column for our local newspaper. The comments from readers in our area helped me to realize the importance of written history. I hope that my grandchildren and great-grandchildren may come to a better understanding of the experiences that shaped the lives of those in my generation."
Very Good condition. Black cloth over boards with gold gilt text on front cover and spine. No edge or corner wear. Like new except previous owner's name on endpaper. Note at bottom of end paper under legal text: "sold by Phillip E. Merritt 8/2/2000" (I believe Phillip to be the son of the author).
