New York: Del Rey, Ballantine Books, 1976. First Hardcover edition, BCE. Hardcover. Good in Fair dust jacket. 21.5 x 14 cm. Octavo. 183pp. Grey cloth in painted dust jacket. Although this is a science fiction book club edition, this is actually the first hardcover edition of Star Wars with gutter code S27 in the margin of page 183. It was preceded by a paperback edition. With 16 pages of color inserts from the movies and film blurb on back of jacket. Ghost written by Alan Dean Foster. The jacket is chipped and worn with pieces out on the rear and at the spine. Foxing to the foredges. Head and tail of cloth are bumped.
