With full plate and vignette wood engravings from Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe, an internationally renowned naturalistic painter of British birds and other wildlife. Contemporary bookplate of Geoffrey Shell, dated 1933, to front pastedown. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, bright. Slight shelf wear to spine head and tail. Contemporary bookplate to front pastedown. Dust wrapper age toned, with several portions missing, including head and tail of back strip.
