Toned with age. 14 pages of text and 12 full page illustrations in color of various animals, hard bound in printed paper covers taken from the orig. Woodcuts.. Twelve col. Litho. Plates of animals, William Nicholson, with his brother-in-law James Pryde, produced posters that were a revelation to late 19th-century London. Nicholson went on to adapt his dramatic woodblock style to book illustration, publishing a series of highly successful works ( .
