London: William Heinemann, 1918. Hardcover. very good. 1st Trade Edition. ix,132pp. Large octavo with green cloth boards. Gilt lettering and decoration on front and spine, and endpapers with green pattern. Colour illustrated frontispiece and seven coloured plates. Very small bookseller's stamp on front pastedown. Board corners and edges, and spine edges have mild wear. Back endpaper has some foxing. very good Sixteen poems from Noble Prize nominee and English writer, Algernon Charles Swinburne. The poems have been collected from Swinburne's various works and all have overarching themes of children or childhood life. With a preface by Edmund Gosse and eight lovely full page illustrations from Arthur Rackham. 1918
