About This Item

London: William Heinemann/Lippincott, 1918. Book. Illus. by Arthur Rackham. VG-. Hardback. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Hardback bound in green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles and illustrated end pages. Book has light rubs at top and bottom of spine and has a flaw along back bottom edge. Book has William Heinemann on both the copyright and title pages; however the book cover spine has Lippincott. With Heinemann and a 1918 date on the copyright page and with Lippincott on the spine, it is probably the First American Edition or possibly a very early American printing. 132 numbered pages plus one more page of text. 8 color plates by Arthur Rackman with tissue guards and other black and white illustrations..

About K. L. Givens Books

Our home-based business is located in the beautiful Ozarks of northwest Arkansas. We began selling books in 1992 and still enjoy searching for treasures to list on the internet. We are not mega-sellers; instead we select our inventory for condition and rarity. Among our favorites are 19th century classics in decorative bindings; regional histories and genealogies; and military history.
