About This Item
South African Olympic and British Empire Games Association , 1933. First Edition. Softcover. Good/No Jacket. 94 pages (complete). A placid copy. Of interest is that the book has a stamp on the front cover, and a handwritten owner notation on the inside front cover showing previous ownership by David Carstens (by Carstens?). Carstens won the Light-heavyweight Boxing at the 1932 Los Angeles Games (photograph on page 58). The card cover is much worn, marked, stained all about. The spine has much wear. However, the covers and the spine are sure and secure. The contents have evidence of contented use throughout. Page 71 has a short closed tear. The pages have some very shallow and mild handling marks. They are also overwhelmingly clean, clear, comfortable, sure, assiduous, proud, pleasing. fk.
