About This Item
London: Collins Harvill, 1986. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. First Printing of the first UK edition, hardcover. An attractive copy - square and tight with sharp corners, minor creasing to spine tips. There is the ghost of a very small label which has been removed at the flyleaf but otherwise a Fine copy. The dustjacket is unclipped and has no other loss - very minor creasing along the top edge front and a small price-sticker at the rear panel. Fine.
Synopsis
The author of five novels and two collections of stories, Richard Ford was awarded the Pulitzer Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award for Independence Day , the first book to win both prizes. In 2001 he received the PEN/Malamud Award for excellence in short fiction.
