Edinburgh: William Tait. VG. 1845. 1st Edition. Leather & Cloth. Variant first edition without any illustrations, quarter bound in red leather and cloth. Frontis engraving of the author. 5 /12" x 8 3/4", 4 31 pages. Very Good condition. The leather is lightly rubbed at the co rners and spine tips. Some soiling to the covers. Former owner's book plate is affxied to the front pastedown. The preliminary pages lightly tanned and foxed else clean, tight copy. Note: There are no indicatio ns that any illustrations have been removed, there seems to have been none ever issued with this copy. .
