Spine has mild sun-fading. 8vo; xii, 397 pages 8.5 inches tall; Illustrated with 144 black and with illustrations some photographic; Frontispiece by Remington; double page map. First Edition, First Printing.. Laid-in is an interesting signed typed letter from an acquaintance of the author giving the book as a present. Caspar William Whitney was an American author, editor, explorer, outdoorsman and war correspondent.
