First edition, 4 volumes. 8vo, xx, 457pp; vii, 494pp; viii, 544pp; vii, 511pp. Uniformly bound with brown paper-covered spines, grey paper-covered boards. Bindings heavily rubbed, corners of boards bumped, heads of spines chipped, upper joints cracking in volumes 1 and 4, scattered foxing (preliminary pages heavily foxed in each volume, some minor spotting of the text blocks). Overall a fair to good set.
