In a full straight grain morocco binding. Includes one portrait frontispiece by Holbein of Henry Howard Earl of Surry. A smart collection of poems from the Tudor and Stuart periods. Includes notable poets such as John Milton, William Shakespeare and Richard Lovelace, selected by George Ellis. Bookplate of one 'Ellen James' to front paste down. In a full straight grain morocco binding. Externally, smart with some light rubbing to the extremities and spine. Prior owners gift stamp to the front paste down and ink inscription to the front free endpaper. Evidence of label removal to paste downs and front free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
