The above quote from the Title Page does not cover it all: also recounts life in Confederate prisons and has numerous engravings by F.L. Fithian. First published by Potter in 1866 and reprinted by several publishers. This is a Near Fine copy in an attractive decorative binding. Brown cloth binding, stamped with camp scenes in black; titling in gilt. Clean text; 528 pages. All edges marbled. Light bumps and only hints of rub on the spine margins; else a Fine copy. . Later Printing. Decorative Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by F.L. Fithian. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
