About This Item
[Paris?]: [League of Nations], 1938. Octavo (26 × 21 cm). Original staple-stitched printed three-panel wrappers; 37 pp. Rust to staple and moisture staining to upper left corner; general wear to wrappers; still good or better. Scarce English-language dossier issued for the 101st session of the Council of the League of Nations in May 1938. The book includes a chronology of proposals and declarations made during sessions of the League of Nations and excerpts from various newspapers, dating back to 1934. The orientation of the dossier is clearly pro-Republican: Germany and Italy are accused of playing a role in the conflict and the Franco regime is indicated for its anti-democratic stance. It also touches on the 1937 non-intervention pact.
