About This Item
Chicago, Ilinois: R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company, 1925. Christmas 1925 . Hardcover. Very Good. 239 pages, including an index. A captioned-tissue-guarded frontispiece is fully intact with no tears. The fold out map is in excellent shape. Book is clean & binding is tight. No bookplates, no owner names or ownership stamps, not ex-libris. Top edge is gilded. The book itself has a protective archival quality clear cover, inside the front cover, next to the spine there is some age toning about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch on either side of the spine. If you really look close you can make out a shadow of something like a newspaper clipping that may have at some point been placed there; nothing like this is present on the inside of the back cover. There is a touch of wear at the head and tail of the spine and at corners. The cover is dark green with gilt lettering and decorative lines on the spine that are sharp and a gilt emblem and borders on the front cover that are very sharp. All in all, a very presentable copy; available for immediate shipment; carefully packed in a sturdy box.
