New York: Frederick A. Praeger, 1966. Hardcover. Good/good. This book was written at a time when the Cold War in Asia and the Konfrontasi between Indonesia and Malaysia were in full swing. This veteran war and foreign correspondent was concerned that the West was not taking enough notice of the vulnerability of the Malay Archipelago to Communist and Indonesian subversion. Since Brackman had particular Indonesian experience a major focus of the book is Indonesia's "multicomplex" struggle for dominance at the time. 341 pages including notes and an index. Weight: 0.8 kg Post free within Malaysia This is an ex-library book with library stamps on the top and bottom page edges, the title page and one of the rear end papers. There is also a library pocket inside the front cover. The dust jacket has been preserved by plastic covering. The binding is tight, the text clear and there is mild tanning of the pages.
