Hamish Hamilton, 1957. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1957. First Edition Thus. 282 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth covered boards with gilt. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Rear hinge cracked with exposed netting, covered with peeling tape. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a moderate forward lean. Minor fraying to cloth at spine ends.
