Detailing the author's travels from Panama, through Ecuador, Lima, Cuzco, La Paz, Santiago, the Andes, Buenos Aires, Uruguay and Rio de Janeiro.Written by Annie S. Peck (1850-1935), an American adventurer, suffragist and writer known for her exciting travels and mountain climbs. She died during a world tour at the age of eighty-four, having been taken ill whilst climbing the Acropolis of Athens.Undated; dated from copies on Jisc.This was the author's second work.Richly illustrated throughout with photographs taken during her journey, as well as a folding map to the rear of the work.A first edition of this exciting travelogue by a feminist mountaineer. In the publisher's original decorative cloth. Externally generally smart, with some wear to the head and tail of the spine and extremities in particular, as well as a little wear to the decorative board. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are slightly age-toned in places. Very Good
