About This Item

London: Peter Davies, 1952. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Patchy fading to spine and rear panel which is the result of offsetting from the striped jacket design. There is also heavy foxing to the page edges. Overall, very good copy in a price-clipped but otherwise nearly fine dust jacket that is unusually bright and attractive for this title. Scarce in any condition.. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Early dystopian short novel, an alternate history in which the Nazis won the war, involving a private compound where prisoners are hunted for sport. 8vo cloth. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise. All our dust jackets are protected in clear mylar covers.
