New York: Harper and Bros.. Very Good. 1932. Hardcover. A lovely edition of Millay's classic Sonnets beautifully printed and bound in full brown leather with gilt lettering and compartments at spine; some rubbing at spine and wear at spine ends and corners, still quite nice. Set up by hand in Goudy Mediaevil type by Arthur and Edna Rushmore at the Golden Hind Press in Madison, New Jersey. Mcmxxxii. The Golden Hind Press was founded by Arthur W. Rushmore and his wife Edna in 1927 in Madison, NJ and operated until Arthur's death in 1955. Rushmore was a book designer and head of manufacturing for Harper & Brothers; The Golden Hind Press was his and Edna's private endeavor. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years. Over those many years we have taken great pleasure from satisfying our customers' eclectic literary requirements in the shop and hope to continue in that tradition now that we have moved our operation on-line.Currently, our catalogued inventory includes about 4,000 books from the sixteenth century through the twentieth century in a variety of subject areas.
