The first edition of this collection of music and lyrics by Gilbert and Sullivan, with illustrations throughout. The first edition.In the publisher's original cloth. Lacking very scarce dust wrapper. Illustrated throughout with monochrome vignettes by W. S. Gilbert. This work is comprised of music, lyrics and illustrations by the famed Victorian musical duo, Gilbert and Sullivan. Between them, the dramatist and the composer collaborated on fourteen comic operas, with countless songs and melodies. This particular work is comprised of words and illustrations by W. S. Gilbert and music by Arthur Sullivan. With sixty-six songs included in the work, which all appear in various operas by the duo. Undated, dated by copies held institutionally. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with minor marks to the rear, slight fading to the spine and minimal shelf wear to the extremities. Lacking very scarce dust wrapper. Minimal offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd spot. Very Good Indeed
