Boston: James R. Osgood, 1883. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Cream cloth, with some slight rubs, an engaving of an archer on the front , repeated on the title page. Title on the front board and the unfaded spine. Very clean and tight inside, with no prior owner marks. Poetry celebrating and observing nature, including THE ARCHER. With the original glassine dustjacket. Author was the literary editor of the New York Independent according to an enclosed article about his brotherwho becme a prominent Seattle lawyer. A newspaper obituary of Maurice Thompson is also included loose. .
