An exceptional copy, truly in fine condition, in the original sandpaper wraps, complete with original ribbon marker and chromed screws. One of 2500 copies issued, designed by Edward Ruscha. The original sandpaper binding with flocked front cover (reading 'Billy'), is unfaded and in perfect condition, complete with ribbon marker. Laid in loose is a printed single-sheet, 2-column biography entitled '67X The Authorized Version / Bengston Bio' by Alan D. Shean dated 1967 This item is folded down the middle as usual, with slight creasing to edges. The exhibit itself was designed by Frank Gehry. A great period time piece, documenting this remarkable exhibit involving Bengston, Edward Ruscha, and Frank Gehry. Color, b/w illustrations.
