This is the Authors Autograph Edition on special paper, unnumbered, in a limited edition of 250 copies, with 10 color plates and a piece of wood from McKays shipyard in East Boston displayed on the front paste down. Signed by author and publisher on limitation page. Laid in is the 25-page pamphlet, "Donald McKay and the Ships he Built." Light wear to binding, but very good condition in publisher's slipcase.. 16 x 24.5 cm. xxvii, 395 pp. Color and b/w plates. Wood chip from the ways in McKay's East Boston shipyard.
