Some British Ballads collects 44 songs and poems from across the country. Quarto (305 x 235 mm). Late 20th-century burgundy crushed morocco, raised bands, brown morocco spine label, spine lettered in gilt and decorated in four compartments in gilt, floral border to covers in gilt, top edge gilt, fore and bottom edges untrimmed, marbled endpapers. With 16 tipped-in colour plates, including frontispiece, tissue guards captioned in red, and black and white illustrations to the text, all by Rackham. A very good copy, attractively bound, a handful of tiny marks to covers, endpapers faintly browned, first few pages a little foxed, contents otherwise clean and free from marks. Riall, p. 137.
