Hardcover with dustjacket, a beautiful, new-looking copy with no remarkable flaws and a professional (removable) mylar cover included, this special copy is inscribed and signed by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's son, Ignat and is most likely signed by his other son Stephan, this second signature is not legible but is quite similar to his Dad's signature and please note that both sons were present at the event announced in the two inserts included with this book, Stephan's inscription reads "To Sharon Traver - all the best" and Ignat's inscription reads "To Sharon Traver" and is dated 4 Nov 2006." A 1-page insert is an Invitation to an "Evening Reception for The Solzhenitsyn Reader - Featuring Remarks From Honored Guests, Solzhenitsyn's Sons, Ignat and Stephan Solzhenitsyn" on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Union League of Philadelphia, the second insert is a two-sided Introduction to the event printed on heavy card stock, Ignat is Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and is also a conductor and pianist, "compiled by renowned scholars Edward E. Ericson, Jr. & Daniel J. Mahoney, provides in one volume a rich and representative selection - More than one-quarter of the material has never before appeared in English, and the author's sons prepared many of the new translations themselves" ; 635 pages; Signed by Family Member .
