One inch closed tear to front wrap, spine with pieces/chips missing./No Jacket.. [UNIT HISTORY-UNION] Not in any bibliographies except Dornbusch I-IA-1. Very scarce. Sam Black was a member of the First Iowa Battery that saw action up and down the Mississippi until 1864 when it joined Sherman's forces during the Atlanta Campaign. Also included are reminiscences of several other veterans. A good regimental filled with first person accounts.
