New York: Random House, 1946. First Edition. UNCORRECTED PROOF, preceding the First Edition. Rare.

Basis for the 1948 Oscar-nominated film (also considered film noir), directed by Anatole Litvak and starring Olivia DeHavilland in an interesting turn as a woman who wakes up in a mental ward and is unable to remember how she got there.

Very Good in plain black wrappers, with a Random House publisher's label affixed to the front wrapper. Label indicates the book title, an intended retail price of $2.50, and a planned publication date of April 5, 1946.
