About This Item
Creative Age Press: NY, 1942. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good minus/good minus. Small quarto, 11 1/4" tall, xxxii + 256 pages, illustrated endpapers, red and white titles on black cloth with a vignette black and white photo. A very good minus, sturdy hard cover with minor shelf wear, rubbing to the extemities with two cornere tips through to boards, binding tight, paper light to moderately yellowed, with foxing to the endpapers and fore-edges and the effects of New York City soot visible, with the name of a previous owner (musicologist Rudi Blesh) on the front endpaper. In a good minus, considerably worn dust jacket, somewhat soiled by that city soot, with chipping at all edges and moisture staining to the lower edges, (all quite visible on the blank reverse) with the original price present. Because of the larger size and weight, this volume will require some additional postage depending on destination.
