Reading, PA: Fantasy Press. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1948. First Edition; Limited edtion. Hardcover. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 247 pages; [SIGNED] 1948 Fantasy Press. HC/DJ. 1st edition. One of the special signed copies of the 1st edition issued in a limitation of 500, of which this copy is # 196. Inscribed by Smith with his signature on the special glossy limitation page at front. Snugly bound and clean in original pictorial dust jacket. Jacket has rubbing, shallow chipping and mild spidered stress creasing to spine ends. A craze of closed jagged tears to the surface of the jacket's rear panel show faint shadows of former tape repairs, now mended without loss on the reverse of the jacket with archival paper. Light general surface rub to jacket. Prior owner name (same as appears in limitation inscription) to front endpage and rear pastedown. Solid neat copy in jacket. Signed limited 1st. VG+/VG-; Signed by Author .
