First printing under this title, preceded by four editions issued as 'The Confectioners' Hand-Book', making this the fifth edition overall. Maroon cloth binding with marking and staining. Wear to ends of spine and corners of boards. Old paper repairs to endpaper joints. Browning and foxing to page edges, some marks and light soiling to text. A few pencilled notes. Previous owner's name to index pages and first page of text (one dated 1897). Interesting 1959 letter from W.J. Bush and Co Ltd tipped-in to rear endpaper, this discusses the age of this volume, estimating this was the first edition to be issued by their company, circa 1894. Overall condition is Good. Size: 5.75 x 8.5 inches (14 x 22 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 187
