New York: Seesaw Music Corp., 1976. Assumed First Edition . Staple-Bound. Very Good. 9.5" X 13. Captivating vocal chamber music miniatures, setting Richard Wilbur's excellent translations of Latin riddles of Symphosius, author of the "Aenigmata". CONTENTS: Prelude [1] Hobnail, [2] Onion, [3] Mother of Twins; Interlude; [4] Chicks in the Shell, [5] Saw, [6] Stairs; Postlude. 10 pages. [NOTE: This copy was evidently produced by the composer prior to the work's 1976 publication by Seesaw Music.] CONDITION: A clean, unmarked copy with moderate shelf-wear, a trio of light creases in the upper-right corner, its Ozalid-printing-process pages age-tanned around the edges (typical of older Ozalid scores). This quite respectable copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.
