London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1969. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. This is a stated first printing. The interior of the book is clean and tight. There is a small date stamped on the top corner of the front free end paper, but no other marks or wear. The paper has darkened slightly. The green covers are also in very good condition, with just a few signs of wear. The dust jacket is only in Fair condition. It is price-clipped and has chips, tears and laminate lifting along the edges. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: "There could not have een a better person in charge of the children's ward at St. Catherine's than Jean Campbell. Her patients loved her, particularly young Timmy Barrington, the millionaire's son, whom she had nursed triumphantly through a serious illness. While Timmy's surgeon, Blair Marston, soon found his professional admiration changing to something far deeper and more personal.
