Another of the more than a dozen fine mysteries penned by Hillerman, set on the Navajo reservation, that features Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn. Synopsis
The Sinister Pig (Navajo Mysteries, Book 16) finds Sergeant Jim Chee of the Navajo Tribal Police dealing with a murder victim found just at the edge of his jurisdiction, at the vast Jicarilla Apache natural gas field. The FBI intervenes to take custody of this case from the local agents and call it a hunting accident...but there's more than meets the eye here.
