Synopsis

"The Simple Art of Murder" refers to both a critical essay and a collection of short stories written by hard-boiled detective fiction author Raymond Chandler. It was reprinted in 1950 by Houghton Mifflin along with eight of Chandler's early stories pre-dating his first novel, The Big Sleep. The essay is considered a seminal piece of literary criticism.

About 2nd Impression Books

2nd Impression Books is an online only store simply because, as a gentleman in New York phrased it a while back, "The Rent is Too Damn High!". Eventually, all 2,000+ titles will make their way on to the site. While we don't specialize in one particular area, unless you count what intrigues us as an area, you will find a good amount of books into film, modern first editions, selected children's books and sports sprinkled in among many others. We appreciate your patience, and hope you check back often.
