Basis for the 1954 movie directed by Victor Saville that starred Paul Newman and Jack Palance. This is the first trade edition (stated) after a limited signed edition was produced. Some tape repairs to rear of dust jacket -- but no chips are affecting any text. 533 pp. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good ++/Very Good.
