Previous owner's name and address on ffep with year 1948. Slightly yellowing pages, else clean. 308 pages. DJ has many chips and closed tears. Now protected from further damage in clean Brodart. Eleven book titles on back of dustjacket starting with Midnight Moon and includes Silver Birch, Golden Sovereign, and other non-horse titles. Back dj flap describes Midnight Moon, sequel to this title (with Golden Sovereign following that one). Connie is a young girl in Michigan who tames the wild white mare Silver Birch who has roamed the countryside, Together, the girl and mare join a mounted patrol of Girl Scouts.. Illus. by Dennis, Wesley (jacket only) and Taylor, John Austin - Interior Drawings.. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 7th. Hardcover. Near Very Good/Fair.
