Illustrated dustwrapper, by James Boswell, with black colour titles to the front panel and backstrip. A novel about a man who had a very pleasant life as a professor of American literature in a mid-Western University, who finds himself in the position of either standing up for his belief in free speech or betraying them for material comfort and security. Softening of the backstrip and browning with some foxing to the textblock edges and browning to the internal text. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and backstrip corners. A little Chipping and creasing to the dustwrapper edges and fading to the backstrip. Browning and foxing of the back panel. Browning to the verso of the dustwrapper and a previous owner has repaired tears with tape, residue still visible. Clipping of the dustwrapper fold over, lower right-hand corner.
