Edinburgh, UK: William Blackwood. Hardcover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Undated but c 1880. 158pp, with extra, illustrated title page and two further plate illustrations. Half bound on calfskin leather over cloth covered boards, with gilt lettering and decoration on spine. 12mo. Leather worn and rubbed on corners, spine tips and joints. Heavy spotting on first and last few leaves. Bookplate on front paste down, bearing the arms and name of Sir Henry Peto, 2nd Baronet of Somerleyton Hall, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A nicely evocative vintage copy of Eliot's classic tale of the weaver of Raveloe.
